Parliamentary Hearing Committee-2074

 Functions, duties and powers of the parliamentary hearings  committee is as follows:

• to publish or transmit through the means  of government  communications media the names received in the committee for the information of general public,
• to take the notice of the grievances or complaints against the person proposed,
• to study and  scrutinize the  grievances or complaints received,
• to invite the proposed person, complainant or informer to the committee and  have discussion,
• to further investigate over the proposed person, to send for the documents from government bodies,
• to make decision  whether or not the recommendation for appointment of the proposed person is appropriate ,
•  to forward the decision of the committee to the concerned body making recommendation.
