Library Section

The functions of this branch are summarized as follows:-

• Publications published by various ministries, departments, offices and organizations are regularly read and made available for study.
• Making plans and programs for the development of the library,
• Arranging newspapers and necessary study materials,
• Proper management of the reading room in the library,
• To carry out work related to the operation of the library through automation,
• To organize and update audio-visual equipment related to parliamentary activities in a scientific manner,
• To collect and organize materials related to parliamentary history and activities as a museum,
• Taking out publications from the Parliamentary Libraries of the Allied Nations based on the requirements of the Secretariat and also sending their own publications.
• To provide necessary assistance in enhancing the efficiency and capacity of parliamentarians regarding library access,
• To maintain proper arrangement of various study materials available in the library,
• Organize the laws, journals of different countries related to Parliament,
• Prepare various materials for study and research,
• Prepare a list of books and newspapers to be purchased annually,
• Cataloging the books in the library according to subject and author,
• To collect and display audio-visual equipment and gifts received related to the parliaments of different countries.
