According to Article 83 of the Constitution of Nepal, the National Assembly is one of the two houses of the Federal Parliament. Article 92 of the Constitution provides for the election of the Chairperson of this House. The personal secretariat of the chairperson of the National Assembly is the designated office within the Federal Parliament secretariat that serves the elected chairperson.

Organizational Structure and Governance
Establishment: The provision for this personal secretariat was formalized under the Organization and Management (O&M) Survey Report, 2015 (2072 BS).

Administrative Alignment: This section operates under the Administration Division of the Federal Parliament Secretariat.

Responsibility: The Secretariat is responsible for executing assigned tasks under the direct instruction, control, and supervision of the Administration Division.
